LOVE IS UNNATURAL, BECAUSE ITS SUPERNATURAL.
Truthfully, I’ve been hesitant to write about relationships these past two weeks because I’m realizing: I can’t teach about Love without the foundation of God’s love.
Like we actually don’t know diddly squat about intimacy until we experience intimacy with God. And let me tell you—I’m humbled.
When we truly step into divine love—when we experience His forgiveness, His compassion, His presence somatically—it shifts everything.
Here’s what I am learning:
Love is unnatural because it is SUPERNATURAL.
Love is a practice.
Love is a daily intentional choice.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
1 Corinthians 13
^ A gorgeous embodiment of Love to strive towards, yeah? but it is not natural for us to be so loving and forgiving! Especially when we are hurt.
And I hope that we can extend ourselves grace getting there in the same ways He graces us with patience and forgiveness daily —because love is a practice.
I thought: yo if God forgives us every single day while we run around sinning like the flawed little creatures we are, what makes me think I am above that and can not also learn to love fiercely or forgive those who hurt me?

Granted, moral perfection is not the goal. It’s actually impossible. That’s God.
But we can surely make a conscious choice to be more like Him, every day: Forgiving, Loving and Compassionate. We can invite him into our Being and let Him mold us, use us, guide us. Idk about you but I think that’s some cool asL!!!
